The Author

My name is Susanna and live in Sydney, Australia.

Before moving to Sydney, we lived in London, UK for five years and before that in Stockholm, Sweden. We moved back to Sweden for two years and then returned to Sydney in 2015.

I have three children with my Husband. The oldest two have moved from home and we have one 10-year-old left at home.

When I am not working as a contractor in Risk management with our company Wespro, I enjoy being at home with my family, to fly and travel, visit family and friends in Sweden, entertaining guests and helping others. I play squash on a weekly basis.

In 2015 I was diagnosed to have to be on a low FODMAP diet. This means not eating any fermentable sugars, see the post about this. This is a condition where I lack the enzyme to brake down fermentable sugars and I am born with this. As I got older the body reduced the production of the enzymes even further and I then got more problems then I have had throughout my life. After my diagnose, and not being able to return to any of the sugar groups (yet) I feel fantastic if I avoid all the groups (not felt this great ever), but If I happen to eat something, it takes me 5-6 days of agony and pain to clear.
