Day 11: from LMYC to Murray\u2019s beach and onwards to Pulbah island: 5 January <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The night was very windy and wet but we woke to a beautiful and sunny day. We had a lovely breakfast onboard followed by some drone flying before we headed off to see the Lake. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Lake Macquarie is the largest saltwater lake in the Southern Hemisphere and four times larger than Port Jackson. There is a lot of big space in the middle with good depth which makes for some great sailing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We sailed south to Murray\u2019s beach and moored up on a guest mooring for lunch. As the weather was predicted to be rainy and stormy again from the afternoon we decided to have our BBQ meal for lunch. Spent a few lovely hours swimming off the boat in lovely weather with the temperature up to 32 c in the air and 25 c in the water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      At five the wind picked up and we decided to go for a sail. Headed west and rounded a nature reserve, Pulbah island. The wind was N and we had a great sail in the setting sun. Moored up on a pinky south of the island and were treated to an amazing sunset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Day 12: Pulbah Island to Marmong point marina to Kilaben bay: 6 January <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        We had a windy night when the wind turned Southerly, we were safe on the mooring. After breakfast we decided to head north and visit a marina to see if we could fix the toilet. we had a lovely sail going north with the wind behind us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Moored up on the fuel jetty and got excellent assistant from the staff. Managed to source the needed parts to do a successful pump out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          As we set off the rain started and the wind picked up as we motored into the wind back south. Anchoring outside the marina did not look ok and calm today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            After a while we set the course west and sailed into a calm bay where we picked up a mooring at Kilaben bay. Dinner below as the rain poured down most of the evening and night.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
