Looking at weather forecasts and predictions we decided to do Swansea and Lake Macquarie today. This is just a short trip of 12 nm. Very little wind from NE so we motored with the main sail up for stability from the NE swell. Had a lovely run south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Navigated the Swansea channel through beautiful clear waters and waited outside the Swansea bridge for opening time. It was a tight navigation through and after the bridge to get into Lake Macquarie. As we prepared for dinner a large thunderstorm arrived from the south. It came with lots of wind and rain and we were happy to be in they marina.
