We left MHYC just after 6 pm and motored away. The rain started and we moored on a guest mooring at Chinamans beach. Though the rain got heavier with thunder and lightning in the distant. The weather was beautiful and the bay filled up with various craft. The wind picked up and we had a lovely sail with only the headsail up. On our return back in, we met three large navy ships heading out to sea. With them and two manly ferries to give way to it all got somewhat exciting &#8211; especially with a strong westerly.
