11 October:
Sydney Metro invited staff to a visit ‘Behind the fences’ at the construction site of Castle Hill station. We all came along for a great day out. One of the tunnel bore machines (TBM), Florence, had arrived in the platform box the week before and was getting her overhaul before continuing her journey.
The Weekend of the 4th and 5th of October:
We went out to Hornsby to meet up with Erins parents. We went for a lovely bush walk followed by a lovely lunch on the first day of a lovely long weekend.
On the Sunday we went out to the Northern Beaches, North Narrabeen and went for a lovely swim. The water is very nice.
We have started to get the family together over Sunday Brunch in Waverton. It is a great way to spend Sunday. After the first one we went down for a walk at the BP site in Waverton and had a great time.
In July, we were invited to a first birthday party for our friends son, James. They had a baby farm visit and Oliver had a great time with the rabbit.
After the party we went to a nice place along the coast and stayed the night followed by a lovely drive along the ocean on the way back.
Fredrik was not able to come to Stockholm with us this year, he was busy with First Robotics competitions he helped organize in Sydney during this time. We came back to Sydney to be able to come and see the second one, the Asia Pacific Open, FLL and FTC.
Jessica travelled to Stockholm for Midsummer and Niclas, Sanna and Oliver arrived the following Monday.
We stayed in the flat in where we lived for the past two years, and with this as a base had an amazing 2 1/2 weeks together with family and friends.

On a sunny winters morning, we decided to go for an adventure with Oliver. Took the train to the city and then we caught the ferry over to Rose Bay. Here we went for a walk up to South Head, had a snack, watched the sea and then had lunch before returning to the city by ferry.
Jag beslutade mig för att resa till Stockholm och överraska min mamma på hennes födelsedag. Bara Pappa och två till visste att jag skulle komma. Jag anlände i Stockholm en fredagsmorgon, bodde i en lägenhet i stan, träffade min kompis och kom ikapp efter resan. Eftermiddagen efter, då familjen skulle fira Kerstin med middag på Gyllenstiernsgatan, kom jag dit och “levererade” blommor. En toppen överraskning.
Sen spenderade jag en vecka tillsammans med mamma och pappa innan jag reste tillbaka till Sydney.
This weekend we went on a family outing to the Trees adventure at Groose River Park. The weather was great and we had an early start there, and the park was quiet. Only us five and three more people on the course. We had a great day together. Oliver, as a child, was only allowed on two of the courses. The rest of us climbed 1 or two more higher courses. Everyone had a great day out and we decided to do this again.
So, not so good, but time has just rushed away and I have not been updating for half a year now… Now is time to repost. Starting with looking back over this time and creating new posts with significant happenings in the family to keep the records in order.
