Behind the fence at Sydney Metro

We had a great day out to one of the Stations being built along the Northwest Metro, which Sanna is the part of the project where Sanna works. A warm day which started with fog and ended with a nice brunch on the way home.

Australia Day in Sydney

IMG_2124This year we spent Australia Day, 26th January, in Waverton.

Fredrik and Erin came and joined us for brunch, followed by a trip to the city. This trip was to greet a Swedish guy, Mats, who has walked from Stockholm to Sydney, whom Jessica heard about at a party the weekend before. He wrote about his trip on: the-walk.se

Later in the afternoon we played Kubb outside our house before dinner at home.

Oliver at the Royal North Shore Hospital

IMG_20160107_161643Oliver got a really bad headache, which lasted for 4 days, and ended up in hospital. The Royal North Shore kids department (and emergency) opened three years ago and is a very nice building. The staff where great and Oliver got well looked after. After been given medicin for the pain as well as drip, he was taken for an MRI scan. They did not find anything that should not be there and would have caused the headache and we got to go home. He has made a full recovery.

Start of Sydney to Hobart race

26 December 2015

This time we decided to take the ferry over to Watsons bay and see the start. First plan was to sit on the Harbour side of South Head and then move over as the boats came around, but then we decided to sit on the Ocean side, have our lunch, and the see the boats round and set spinnaker (because that was how the wind blew.) We had a great day out.
